오늘 수료를 위한 마지막 시험을 무사히 치렀다.
비전공 과목이라 나름 힘들었지만, 좀 더 많은 것을 배울 수 있는 좋은 기회였던 것 같다.
시험이 끝나자마자 모래 학술대회에서 발표할 자료를 만든 후 이제 한 숨을 돌리며, 올해를 잠시나마 돌아본다. 마치... 일주일이 하루, 한달이 일주일, 그리고 일년이 한달 같았던 올해...
그 동안 수행하던 프로젝트를 마무리하고, 새로운 프로젝트를 맏게 되면서 정말 정신이 없었던 것 같다. 하지만, 그 동안 연구했던 내용 중 일부가 특허로 등록되고, 운이 좋게도 국제 학술대회에 제출한 논문이 SCI급 학술지에 추천되어, 나름대로 보람찬 한해였던 것 같다.
지금은 올해를 보내는 아쉬운 마음 보다는 내년에 대한 설레는 마음이 더 큰 것 같다.
조금 더 솔직히, 이제 본격적인 학위 논문에 대한 설렘이 더욱 크게 다가온다.
생각 보다 쉽지 않고 많은 고통이 따를 것이라는 걸 잘 알지만,
원래 쉬운 문제는 별로 좋아하지 않는 타입이라 그런지 긴장되고 설렌다.

왠지... 매일 아침 수두록하게 쌓여 나를 답답하게 만드는 메일 더미속에서
내가 매일 아침 물을 주며 돌봐주고 싶은 새싹과도 같은
